Signal Score breakdown, from its live page
Every fact, checked by a person
VouchDex exists to give you accurate, current facts about AI and SaaS tools, so you can choose quickly and AI search can cite something true. This is exactly how a page gets made, scored and kept up to date.
From a product's site to a checked page
- Read the source
We start from the product's own website and pricing page, never a press release or another directory.
- Draft the facts
Name, tagline, category, features and every plan with its price, written plainly. AI may help draft; it never decides.
- A person checks it
Someone opens the site and checks each fact against it: the product works, the prices match, nothing is invented.
- Publish with dates
The page goes live with the date each price was read, structured data, and a Markdown copy for AI crawlers.
- Re-check weekly
A watcher re-reads every pricing page each week. A person confirms real changes before they are published.
What a person checks
It loads, you can sign up or download it, and it does what the tagline says.
Every plan and price is copied from the official pricing page, in US$, and dated.
"Revolutionary", "best" and "#1" are removed. We never invent features, ratings or reviews.
Listed where people actually look for it, with up to two extra categories.
Makers prove they own the product's site with a DNS TXT record or a meta tag on its homepage.
Prices older than 120 days are flagged on the page until we re-check them.
One number, built from facts
Every page shows a Signal Score from 0 to 100. Until we test a tool hands-on, it is built only from things anyone can check. Once we test it, the hands-on result counts for 40%. Payment never changes it.

What money can't buy here
Payment never changes the Signal Score, the order of any list, or the weekly launch board. Listing is free, and free for the first 100 makers in every way.
If we ever sell a placement, it's marked "Featured" and its outbound link carries rel="sponsored". If a link ever earns a commission, it's labelled where it appears.
Verified makers send updates from their dashboard, and a person checks each change against their site before it goes live. Pricing is always re-read from the source.
What money can buy here
One thing is for sale: a labelled spot in the homepage Watch reel. Everything else below is free. A paid placement is always labelled Featured, sits apart from every ranking, and its links are marked as sponsored.
| Offer | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Listing | Free | A person reviews it within 48 hours. A page with dated facts, built for Google and AI search, and your launch week on the Product of the Week board. |
| Founding Maker | Free | For the first 100 makers: a permanent spot on the homepage wall and a founder spotlight page. |
| Deal | Free | Offer VouchDex visitors a discount: a Deal badge on your cards and page, and a spot on /deals/. |
| Vouched badge | Free | For every listed product. It updates itself: Featured on, Vote for us on, Vouched by. |
| Featured in the Watch reel | $3.99 for 30 days | Your product first in the homepage reel and its stories, labelled Featured, for 30 days. Never a ranking position. Get featured |
The maker confirms
Pages we write ourselves say so, with the date we checked them. A maker can claim their page by proving they work on the product (a DNS TXT record on its domain or a meta tag on its homepage). A person reviews every claim within 48 hours; approved pages show the "Vouched" mark.
Founder spotlights are written by the founders and lightly edited for length. We confirm the person works on the product before publishing.
AI drafts, people decide
AI can help draft a first version of a listing from the product's own website, and our weekly watcher flags pricing pages that changed. A person checks every fact before publishing, and every opinion or rating comes from our own testing. We don't invent features, reviews or ratings, and we don't use AI-written reviews.
Built from the same checked data
Comparison, alternatives and best-of pages are generated from reviewed listing data, so they stay consistent when a price changes. They're only published when there's enough to be useful: an alternatives page needs at least 3 real alternatives, and comparisons are made only between tested tools in the same category.
Readable by AI search
Every page has structured data (JSON-LD), a clean Markdown copy, and an entry in our llms.txt, so assistants like ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity can read the facts and cite the source. The full index is open data at /api/tools.json.

Questions about our method
Who checks the listings?
A person checks every listing against the product's own website before it is published, and again whenever the maker sends an update or our weekly price check finds a change. Reviews take up to 48 hours.
Can a company pay for a better score or ranking?
No. Payment never changes the Signal Score, the order of any list, or launch-week rankings. If we ever sell a placement, it is labeled "Featured" and its link carries rel="sponsored".
How often are prices checked?
Every pricing page is re-read weekly by an automated check, and a person confirms any change. Each page shows the date its prices were last checked; anything older than 120 days is flagged.
Do you use AI to write listings?
AI can help draft a first version from the product's own website. A person checks every fact before publishing, and all opinions and ratings come from our own testing, never from AI.
How do I report a mistake?
Email [email protected]. We fix factual errors within two working days and update the date on the page. Makers can also send updates from their dashboard.
